A colleague explained me a easy way to create .ico files.
Copy a photoshop plugin in your File Formats folder, and you can open, edit or create your personal icons. A little tip, if you create a icon for your website, the dimensions has to be 16×16 pixels… Yes, it’s for our good browser friend IE.
Making an icon for your website is now very easy:
- Make your icon
- Save as > ICO
- Place your *.ico file in the website root
- Paste this code in your head: <LINK REL="SHORTCUT ICON" HREF="favicon.ico">
- Enjoy
